Willio and Neecole Destin have been married since 2009. Willio is a native Haitian who lived in Boston, MA. from the age of nine into adulthood. Upon completing his undergraduate studies at University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, he entered The Master’s Seminary to prepare for pastoral ministry. In his final year at The Master’s Seminary, he met Neecole Johnson, a native of Los Angeles, CA. Neecole has an undergraduate and Master’s degree from UCLA. She worked as a school teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District for over ten years. The two married in November of 2009. The Lord blessed them with their daughter, Abigail Nelia Destin in April of 2012, followed by their second daughter, Gabrielle Xane’ Destin in September of 2014.

Both Willio and Neecole have faithfully served in their local church bodies over the years. Willio became a follower of Christ at the age of 11. He, shortly after, felt the Lord was calling him into full time ministry. At that time, Willio was a member of Boston Missionary Baptist Church in Boston, MA. While attending BMBC, Willio served as their youth ministry coordinator and developed his teaching and preaching skills as well. While in college, he became deeply involved in campus ministry and Campus Crusade for Christ. While serving with Crusade, Willio became more convinced that the Lord was calling him into full time missionary work.

Upon graduating from college, Willio was admitted to The Master’s Seminary in Los Angeles, California. While attending TMS, Willio began attending Westside Bible Church, coordinating and/or serving in various ministries such as, the singles, Christian Education, Missions, etc… He currently serves at Calvary Baptist Church in Dano, Haiti and serves full time as Executive Dean at Bible Institute of Grand Goave, Haiti.

Neecole Destin grew up in Community Bible Church as a child, but became a follower of Christ while in college. She has since served her church in various ministries, however her primary passion has been developing and utilizing her gifts of teaching and administration in children’s ministry. Neecole’s desire to serve on the foreign field began in 2006 after visiting the Dominican Republic on a short-term mission’s trip. She later spent six weeks in China teaching Chinese teachers English, further igniting within her a desire to go abroad long term. Upon meeting Willio, she became even more convinced that God was calling her to full time missionary work in Haiti.
